Refurbished

−80% CO2.
The number that says it all.

Every CYKERO device avoids an average of 80% of the CO2 emissions associated with manufacturing a brand-new device. It's not just a claim — it's a measurable result.

Circular Economy

Why refurbished is the best environmental choice

Manufacturing a new smartphone accounts for 70% to 80% of its total carbon footprint over its entire lifecycle. By extending the life of an existing device, refurbishing avoids this manufacturing phase — which is where most of the environmental impact occurs.

Compared to recycling, refurbishing is far superior environmentally: recycling only recovers raw materials, whereas refurbishing preserves the value already embedded in the device — energy, water, rare materials — and puts it back into circulation.

At CYKERO, this impact is measured and traceable: every device has a blockchain record documenting its entire lifecycle, data accessible to our B2B partners and local authorities.

Water, carbon, waste: the three dimensions of our impact

Carbon
A refurbished CYKERO smartphone generates an average of 16 kg of CO2 equivalent, compared to 70 to 80 kg for a new one. That is −80% emissions during the manufacturing phase.
−80% CO2
Water
Manufacturing a new smartphone requires an average of 12,000 liters of water. Refurbishing avoids this massive consumption of water resources.

E-Waste
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is one of the fastest-growing waste streams. Every refurbished device is one less item entering this stream.
